GLRSA Announces New Partnership With Indiana Soccer

The Greater Lafayette Regional Soccer Alliance (GLRSA) is proud to announce its official partnership with the Indiana Soccer Association (ISA) under the umbrella of US Youth Soccer. This move enhances recreational soccer opportunities for players, coaches, referees, and families by connecting them to a statewide network focused on access to education and statewide events, expansion of player and club safety protocols, and commitment to consistent, developmentally appropriate soccer experiences.

“Recreational soccer is where most kids fall in love with the game,” said David Ungaro, President of GLRSA and Boilers FC . “This partnership with ISA gives us the tools to make that experience even better—for players, parents, and coaches.”

This move complements the existing membership of Boilers FC, which has long been a part of the Indiana Soccer Association. Together, GLRSA and Boilers FC will continue working in partnership to offer a full spectrum of soccer experiences—from recreational and academy levels to competitive travel play—through a unified, player-centered philosophy.

What does this mean for GLRSA players and families?

  • Stronger Support for Volunteer Coaches: ISA provides FREE training resources and support tools specifically tailored for volunteer and entry-level coaches—ensuring every player has a knowledgeable, positive mentor on the field.
  • Access to Statewide Resources: Players and families will benefit from programs focused on inclusion, sportsmanship, and lifelong enjoyment of the game. GLRSA families will now be part of a broader community that shares the same values and goals.
  • Affordable, Local Soccer Opportunities: This partnership strengthens GLRSA’s ability to offer low-cost, high-quality soccer in our own community. The emphasis remains on fun, skill-building, and accessibility—without the commitment of travel.
  • Player Safety: As part of ISA, all recreational players will be further protected through enhanced safety protocols, including Heads-Up Concussion Training and Safe Sport Compliance Training for all GLRSA coaches, in addition to the previously established background check policy.

GLRSA’s mission to provide an inclusive, community-focused recreational soccer experience for our players is strengthened through this collaboration. The partnership with ISA ensures that GLRSA remains fun and enriching for every child without an additional cost to the players. GLRSA and Boilers FC are excited to continue growing the game together as the only ISA club in the area.

Thank you for your continued support,
The GLRSA Board of Directors
